Description:-

AMOXYCILLIN & Cloxacillin is broad spectrum bactericidal & modern antibiotic combination and inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis Amoxycillin. Amoxycillin is an extended spectrum penicillin group of antibiotic. Amoxycillin is active against many gram positive and gram negative bacteria.

Mechanism of action:-

Amoxycillin acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Lack of bacterial cell wall results in death due to lysis of bacteria.

Cloxacillin is for use against staphylococci that produce beta-lactamase. By binding to specific penicillin -binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, cloxacillin inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
